This new construction home in Summit, NJ is a hallmark of timeless design and is surrounded by homes from another age. The home’s exterior features a timeless Shaker-style siding, bringing a warm, rustic feel while complementing the sophisticated design of the neighborhood. The light tones of the siding are balanced by light greige shutters, creating a serene, welcoming look that enhances the home’s curb appeal. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and understated elegance sets the tone for the interior, where the design focuses on a seamless flow between functionality, comfort, and style. This interior design project successfully integrates the family’s desire for a larger, more functional home with their love for the charming neighborhood they call home. Every aspect of the design has been carefully considered to enhance both family life and entertaining, from the hidden study to the private soccer field. In the winter of 2022, tragedy struck a picturesque Hamptons residence when it fell victim to a devastating flood. The homeowner, faced with the daunting challenge of rebuilding their sanctuary, turned to us to not only restore what was lost but to elevate the space to new heights of elegance and sophistication. The four bedroom, four bathroom residence sits on a private cul-de-sac near the center of Bridgehampton . Most of the home was lost in the flood but our design philosophy of "redefining timeless" focused on maintaining the character of the original home while bringing modern luxuries to the restoration. The original terracotta floors could not be salvaged but both the owner and Andrea loved the idea of paying homage to this detail by installing new terracotta tile floors in an updated motif. A soapstone fireplace and new built-ins add ambiance to the living room while the dining room was given a new bar of natural white oak for entertaining. White oak details are found throughout the home in the flooring, ceiling design and cabinetry. The kitchen was outfitted with a new custom metal hood in black and brass with quartz counters to counterbalance the original wood-burning fireplace.

Nestled in the heart of Summit, New Jersey, this new construction home stands as a testament to the enduring charm of timeless architecture. While the exterior embraces historical materials like brick, the designers have incorporated modern elements to ensure a seamless integration with contemporary living. This blend of old and new creates a home that feels rooted in history yet tailored for modern comfort - the very essence of "redefining timeless" that Britt Design Studio is known for. Fireplaces clad in statement marble, limestone and soapstone all create an ambiance of enduring design. This seven-bedroom, seven-bath home boasts a bar, home fitness room, wine room, multiple offices and pantries as well as a mudroom with its own bath and laundry. The gallery hall that separates the formal and casual spaces is striking with its barrel ceiling and an artwork series commissioned for the home. This architectural detail is repeated in the primary bedroom to ensure architectural design consistency. The library, with floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry in walnut can be found off the formal living room. The interior and exterior merge off the family room and kitchen, which both provide a beautiful view of the lush landscaping featuring a pool and cabana.

We were brought into this new construction gem when framing had already begun. Luckily, we had the chance to put our stamp on it, make a few changes and still preserve the beautiful architectural details already considered. This New England beauty in Ridgewood, NJ sits atop one of the tallest hills in town. The kitchen is the heart of this home, opening onto the entry, butlers pantry, breakfast room and family room. Family is at the center of all decisions in this project - down to the sunroom, an added room just for playing games and a picking up a good book. But the real spectacular moment is when you step outside - the property boasts a beautiful swimming pool, pool house, fire pit and multiple patios.

"Cobblers Kids" came about when he had the opportunity to build his own family their forever home. Integrating beautiful millwork and repeating designs throughout the home let us put our stamp on his immpecable taste and floor plans.

This Saddle River home was just about perfect before we got our hands on it. Our clients wanted a home where "East Coast meets California" so we filled it with natural materials, calming colors and patterns and a little punch of glam when needed. Their "Aspen room" is the family's favorite place in the house and is reserved for family game night and movies all day.
