Project Just for Kicks is exactly that: a destination basement designed for a young, active family who wanted every inch to work hard and feel beautiful.

This space is a full-blown family destination, designed to grow with the kids and bring everyone together — whether for a Saturday night movie or a rainy-day soccer match.

The basement includes a bar and media lounge for entertaining, a movie theater for family nights, a golf simulator for year-round fun, a home gym that’s as beautiful as it is functional, and even an indoor soccer field that keeps energy and skills high all year long. Every space was planned with intention — connected through cohesive materials, lighting, and architecture so that it feels like a true extension of the main living areas.

The Bar + Wine Room

Anchoring the space is a show-stopping bar defined by statement marble counters and a full-height marble backsplash that reads more like art than surface. The rich veining adds movement and depth, while integrated lighting highlights every natural detail. Just beyond, a white oak wine room softens the stone with warmth and texture — creating a balance of natural materials that feels both modern and timeless. Together, they make entertaining effortless and undeniably chic.

The Media Lounge

The media area was designed as the ultimate hangout zone — comfortable, tactile, and relaxed. Oversized, cloud-like chairs invite everyone to sink in and stay awhile, while layered textures and custom lighting give the space a cozy sophistication. It’s where family movie nights seamlessly transition into late-night conversations with friends.

Custom cabinetry with consolidated frame details ensure we've got our bases covered - spaces for game storage, displaying personal items and the all-important game-watching.

The Theater + Golf Simulator

In the movie theater and golf simulator combo room, performance meets design. Custom, abstract soundproofing panels bring an artistic dimension to the acoustics, turning functional necessity into visual statement. We worked hard to achieve a continuous design while also incorporating a tiered movie-viewing experience. This is the hallmark of our work - careful planning, intentional design and expert execution. By day, the room is a golfer’s dream; by night, it transforms into a cinematic retreat — perfectly tuned for family marathons and big game moments alike.

The Indoor Soccer Field

The indoor soccer field might just be the crown jewel of this lower level. The turf flooring brings energy and playfulness, while carefully engineered angled window wells flood the space with natural light — a rare and thoughtful design choice that makes the field feel connected to the outdoors. It’s a space that encourages movement, laughter, and togetherness, season after season.
