It's time for the first Britt Box of the year! Britt Box is a collection of seasonal accessories curated by yours truly that is designed to offer a quick, fun way to update your home. When the lockdowns first began last year, I immediately missed being able to pop into my favorite local shops to hunt for items to use when installing our clients' homes. Our clients and social media followers tell us that that is one of the most difficult layers for them to get right on their own, so we always reserve a portion of the full-service budget for that "last layer" of styling & accessories.
That's how the Britt Box was born! It began as a fun way of connecting with our clients and offering a little of that shopping high when we couldn't be out and about, and now it is our answer to everyone's biggest design question -- how do I make my home feel collected & styled but also stay fresh and seasonal?
Styling is fun, of course, but we are so proud to also be able to give back a bit this year. A portion of the sale of each box goes to one of our favorite charities and we love bringing awareness to them so you can learn more about each organization!
In Fall 2020 we contributed to Advance the Cure for MS, our Holiday contribution was to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and this Spring, a portion of each box sold will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. One of our youngest clients was in an accident this winter and during his treatment, his family benefitted directly from the services of this wonderful organization and we saw first-hand the impact of their work.
Spring 2021 Box
This box is -- of course -- inspired by Spring's welcome arrival and the moody greens we're seeing everywhere mixed with a little bit of girlie blush pink. We chose two small green vases that I would put on a shallow mantle or atop a stack of books for a sweet moment of color. The pink vessel will be perfect filled with wildflowers or stems of greenery and displayed on the kitchen counter. The throw will make a textural addition to the arm of your sofa or can be used to snuggle up around the fire pit during a chilly (Covid-friendly!) evening gathering. A string of beads is our favorite item to layer casually over books on an entry console, coffee table, or dresser to infuse a new color in a subtle way, like in our City Slickers Project.
